The school comes to an agreement with a cultural or artistic organization to hold an activity. The organization then applies for the micro-grant in order to offer that activity at the school. An education administrator is responsible for approving the micro-grant application submitted by the organization. The school then prepares to take part in the activity and gives the students the opportunity to experience the cultural, artistic or heritage activity.

No. No. The only eligible applicants for the ImmersART program are non-profit cultural and artistic organizations. You can, however, team up with an eligible organization. Look for an organization in our directory.

No. After the application is approved, the micro-grant will be paid directly to the non-profit organization in charge of holding the activity at your school.

Check the directory for organizations that have already been financed through the program. We also encourage you to contact eligible organizations that are not listed in the directory.

Every school is eligible for one activity per school year. The next school year, you can repeat the same activity or plan a new one, with the same organization or another of your choice.

The non-profit organization of your choice completes the online form. Within ten business days, a designated resource person from your school board, district or commission assesses the application. Once the application is approved, the organization receives the micro-grant within ten business days.

Yes, the activity can take place outside of class time and exceed the framework of the teaching program.
