ImmersART: Bringing Francophone arts, culture and heritage into our schools
A micro-grant that connects Canadian French-immersion schools with arts and culture non-profit organizations.
ImmersART is a micro-grant program that finances activities held in French-immersion schools, in partnership with artistic and cultural organizations in their region. It aims at creating new experiences for the students in French, through artistic, cultural and heritage activities.
ImmersART creates connections between:
Schools
- Junior and senior high schools
- French-immersion schools
- Anywhere in Canada
Organizations
- Artistic and cultural organizations
- Local and regional organizations
Because it is crucial to…
- Enrich French learning for immersion students
- Increase their interactions with rich and diverse aspects of Francophone culture
- Foster ties between schools and cultural organizations
- Stimulate the vitality and growth of an inclusive, open-minded pan-Canadian Francophonie
Between 2024 and 2028, the program will grant organizations a micro-grant of $1,500 per year per school to hold an eligible activity.
The ImmersART program is an initiative financed by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
